With a native safari guide, take a beautiful drive to the “chimpanzee” natural sanctuary and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding terrain as you explore the amazing Nyungwe Forest National Park.
This trip is expected to be educational, exciting, and unforgettable. It leaves Kigali City early in the morning (between 6:30 and 7:00 am), via Nyanza Palace and the Ethnographic Museum, and travels roughly 219 kilometres.

After checking into the Lodge, proceed to one of the park entrances to enter Nyungwe Forest National Park and have lunch. After a filling meal, take advantage of the canopy walk to observe the many monkeys and birds as well as the tree canopies, and then head back for dinner and the night.

Your journey will begin at Kinigi Park Headquarters with a briefing to familiarise you with the park’s fundamentals, the activity you will be participating in, and the rules for trekking mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Following the briefing, board your safari vehicle and travel to the trailhead. From there, begin your hunt for the Giant Apes, keeping an eye out for evidence of wildlife, bird sounds, views, and unique habitats.
