Detailed day by day 8 Days Kenya & Mountain Gorillas – Uganda Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Entebbe

Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport is where you will land. To recuperate from the lengthy flight, you will be driven to the hotel you have reserved upon arrival. As you make your way to your hotel, your driver will give you an overview of your eight-day Kenya and mountain gorilla safari. You will rest in your hotel for the remainder of the afternoon.

On this day, the active tourists can choose to go on an adventure. A city excursion to Kampala’s main historical and cultural attractions, including museums and art galleries, is an option.

 Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In order to give you a glimpse of the real African jungles, your driving guide will pick up your private safari vehicle after breakfast and take you to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy your lunch while travelling and take in the stunning scenery and surroundings along the way.

It takes about eight to nine hours to drive from Kampala, the capital of Uganda, to this national park. Despite being lengthy, the trip is worthwhile since it offers breathtaking views of the countryside, amazing street art and crafts, mediaeval towns, and Ankole long-horned cattle. Drive to your lodge after arriving in the late afternoon, where you will eat dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, the eagerly anticipated gorilla trekking will take place! After breakfast at your lodge and an early wake-up, your driver guide will be waiting to take you to the park headquarters so you can begin your gorilla trekking adventure. You will receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking at the park headquarters, where you will be joined by other trekkers or visitors.

After that, a group of ranger guides will assign you to a gorilla group and take you and the other participants into the jungle to look for these enormous monsters.

 During your gorilla trekking journey, you will be in awe of the many forms and splendours of Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In order to find gorillas, you will follow your guide. The trip takes two to four hours, although it can take as little as thirty minutes or as long as six. Once the gorillas have been located, you will have an hour to spend watching these enormous creatures in their natural environment and taking pictures of them going about their everyday lives. When you get back to the visitors centre, where the hike began, your driver guide will be waiting to take you back to your lodge.

 Visit the Batwa village or hamlet in the late evening to get a taste of their culture. Savour historical tales while taking in the striking effects of the traditional dance performance, survival techniques, and much more. Later, head back to your lodge to unwind, have dinner, and spend the night there.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-Kampala

You are scheduled to leave Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Kampala this lovely morning. On our brief game drive through the stunning Lake Mburo National Park, you will have the chance to see a variety of animals, including Burchell’s zebras, Cape buffaloes, common warthogs, huge elands, Oribis, bushbucks, Olive baboons, Vervet monkeys, Topis, and Rothschild giraffes. Arrive in the late evening and check into the hotel where you have a reservation for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Scheduled flight from Entebbe-Masai Mara National Reserve

Take a chartered flight this morning from Entebbe Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The direct flight takes two hours from Entebbe to Kenya. For your next adventure, take a shuttle to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve after landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. When you arrive, check in at the lodging you have reserved. At the lodge, you will unwind for the remainder of the day.

 Day 6 & 7:  Exploring Masai Mara National Reserve – Searching for Big Five

Your 8-Day Kenya & Mountain Gorillas Safari will continue with two days in Masai Mara National Reserve. Savour wildlife safari game drives as you explore the Mara plains in search of various animal species. The Masai Mara is well known for the abundance of wildlife it’s possible to see throughout the year when on a safari in Kenya. The Great Wildebeest Migration, an annual event in which approximately 2 million mammal grazers, particularly wildebeest, move into the reserve from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, is one of the reserve’s major natural events.

One of the main attractions for visitors to this reserve is the yearly migration. During these two days of your 8-day Kenya Wildlife & Uganda Gorilla Safari, you will take part in full-day game drives, visit a Masai village or community, and take part in walking safaris and hot air balloon rides to witness the remarkable display of Kenya’s distinctive flora and fauna.
