This lake is simply too salty to sustain any wildlife, yet it is located just north of the magnificent Mweya peninsula. However, it has guaranteed the existence of the Katwe people since the 16th century. They extract salt from the milky waterways of the area while spending their days beneath the equatorial sun. Take in the breathtaking drive to Katwe while keeping an eye out for buffalo and elephants. Observe Lake Kitagata, which is nourished by salty hot springs and offers breathtaking vistas but no animals.
