Detailed day by day 8 Days Family Safari in Kenya itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi
When you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), your driving guide will meet you and take you to your Nairobi hotel. Your guide will give you an overview of your eight-day family safari in Kenya while you’re travelling. When you get to your hotel, you’ll check in.

Day 2: Nairobi Touring
You will get up today and, based on your interests, take in some sightseeing in Nairobi. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can get up close and personal with elephants; the Giraffe Centre, where you can get up close and personal with giraffes and learn about their protection; and/or the Kazuri Bead Factory, which was founded as a women’s cooperative, are just a few of the tourist destinations you will visit. Your day will be jam-packed with educational opportunities as you take in the picturesque city of Nairobi.
For rest, dinner, and an overnight stay, you will be driven back to your hotel following your experience.
Day 3: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
Your driver guide will pick you up and take you to Lake Nakuru National Park for your next experience on this 8-day family safari in Kenya after you have breakfast at your Nairobi hotel this morning. You’ll get there in time for lunch. After checking into your lodge, enjoy lunch and unwind for a little before going on a game drive in the park in the evening.
A renowned safari location in Kenya, Lake Nakuru National Park is well-known for its flamingo flocks. This National Park is stunning all year round, with areas of acacia bush, rugged escarpments, and at least one waterfall on either side. Day 4: Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp
You will be driven to Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp, which provides a genuine cultural experience, following breakfast. Day 5: Maji Moto Maasai “Olpul” Bush Camping
We will journey over the wide plains to a peaceful forest bush camping for today’s trip. Once there, we will help build a traditional temporary camp so that we can fully immerse ourselves in the unique Maasai culture. With comfortable sleeping bags and traditional leafy beds, we will have the exceptional chance to sleep beneath the stars as the day turns into night.
The evening’s high point will be the customary “Olpul” goat-slaughtering ceremony, in which we will participate alongside warriors and elders in this important cultural custom. We will hear heartfelt music, enthralling tales, and significant blessings while the campfire dances and crackles. We will also enjoy the ceremonial local brew, which is made with aloe root, honey, and native herbs and is only served on certain occasions, to round out the experience.

Day 6: Maasai Mara Wildlife Reserve
