Prior to embarking on a mountain gorilla trekking adventure in the Volcanoes, this 4-day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Tour begins with a city tour of Kigali. Before your vacation is over, you will also visit the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, take a boat cruise and game drive, and then embark on another game drive in Akagera.

This safari, which may be planned as a luxury or low-cost safari tour, brings you to two parks. Kigali is where it begins and finishes. The months of June through September and December through February are the ideal times to embark on a four-day Rwandan gorilla and wildlife safari. Four-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Tour Itinerary in Detail

Day 1: Arrival early, City Tour, and Transportation to Volcanoes National Park

After your early morning arrival at the Kigali airport, our guide from Africa Reveal Safaris Guide will meet you and take you on a city tour of Kigali. You will also have lunch in Kigali before continuing on to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Check into your lodging, eat, and relax.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Community Visit

Get up early for breakfast and meet your guide, who will take you to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi so the park warden can give you a briefing on the endangered mountain gorillas.
After that, you will be guided into the jungle to begin your mountain gorilla trekking. Pack a lunch for yourself. Return to the lodge after your trek, unwind, eat, and rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Akagera National Park and Evening Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, depart from the resort and make your way to Akagera National Park. You’ll stop for lunch en route. Enjoy a game drive on your way to the lodge after arriving in the park to get a taste of the stunning surroundings.
After your evening boat cruise on Lake Ihema, return to the lodge, unwind, eat, and rest.

Day 4: Return to Kigali City after a morning game drive

After a delicious breakfast, depart the hotel for a morning game drive. Pack a lunch to eat while driving through the park. After the game drive, return to Kigali and either head to your hotel or the airport to depart.
