Africa Reveal Safaris Ltd (herein also called “Africa Reveal Safaris “, “ARS”, “we”, or “us”), which is registered in Uganda under license number UTB/RTT/TT/2021/00823, operates all safari holidays featured on this website
- OUR DETAILS
Our headquarters are located in Wakiso District, Uganda, on Namuongo Road, across from the Catholic Shrine. Our operations are licensed by Uganda Travel Burau under UTB/RTT/TT/2021/00823. The URSB has registered Africa Reveal Safaris Ltd. as a private company with registration number 80020002292586.
- YOUR BOOKING WITH AFRICA REVEAL SAFARIS
The moment we issue our “Confirmation Invoice & Itinerary,” a reservation with ARS will be made. Once we have received your deposit and verified every aspect of your trip to Africa, we will issue this. Your reservation will be made in accordance with these terms. By accepting them, you attest that you are able to accept the terms of these booking conditions on behalf of the party listed on the booking form.
- PAYING FOR YOUR TRIP TO AFRICA
A 30% deposit of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking. Within 45 days of the trip’s departure, the remaining balance or full payment must be made. In addition to the standard 30% deposit, your reservation may occasionally call for additional upfront charges for internal flights, gorilla permits, or certain reservations made during popular holiday times.
In Rwanda and Uganda, chimpanzee and gorilla permits need full payment in advance, as stated by the authorities. The government agency in charge of wildlife determines changes to the permits’ booking conditions and prices, which are not influenced by ARS terms.
If an additional deposit is needed, we will let you know before you book your trip with us. You will then need to pay the remaining balance 45 days prior to your departure date. If the deposit and/or balance are not paid on time, we reserve the right to cancel your trip and keep your deposit. If your payment is late, we will send you a reminder; if it is still not paid, we will have to cancel your trip.
Any quote we provide is valid for 7 days from that date, after which we may need to adjust the price due to cost changes.
The charges for our vendors are in US dollars. We will provide you with a travel quote in USD only, and the quote will be valid for 7 days.
- IF YOU CANCEL YOUR TRIP TO AFRICA
Your travel plans may be canceled at any moment by you or any of your party members. The individual who made the reservation must send an email with written notice. Kindly forward it to info@africarevealsafaris.com and make sure that ARS receives it. You will be required to pay the following cancellation fees since we incur expenses when you cancel your travel plans:
Period before departure in which you notify us: Cancellation charge:
More than 90 days No charge: full refund
45 to 90 days 30% of booking cost
less than 45 days 100% of booking cost
No show 100% of booking cost
Note: We will notify you in writing at the quote stage and before you pay your deposit if there are higher-than-normal cancellation charges for your booking; once your deposit is paid and we have sent you a Confirmation Invoice, you are responsible for these higher cancellation charges. Some camps have high cancellation charges during peak booking periods, like December to February or May to July.
Domestic flights and gorilla permits are non-refundable if you pay for them in advance at the deposit stage. Therefore, we will keep the cost of them in addition to the cancellation fees mentioned above.
Assume your insurance policy’s conditions cover the reason for your cancellation. You can then claim these expenses back, and we can provide you with a cancellation invoice to back up your claim.
- IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING
if you want to make any changes to your trip plans after we’ve sent you our confirmation invoice, such as changing your preferred departure date or lodging. We’ll try our best to accommodate these adjustments for you. But it might only be feasible occasionally.
The individual who made the reservation must submit a written request for any changes to your confirmed reservation. In addition to any additional expenses, we incur in effecting this change, we might ask you to pay an administration fee of USD 50.
You should be aware that the cost of changing your confirmed reservation will probably increase the closer your departure date is. In order to create them as quickly as possible, you should get in touch with us.
Note: After making a reservation, some travel plans might not be able to be changed, and any changes could result in a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the original plan. Specifically, any modifications made less than 45 days before to travel would incur the aforementioned cancellation fees.
By providing written notice at least seven days prior to departure, you can transfer your reservation to someone else who meets all the requirements of this reservation. All expenses incurred during the transfer must be covered by you and the new traveler.
- IF WE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING
In the event that unforeseen circumstances require it, we have the right to cancel all or a portion of your reservation. With the exception of unforeseen and exceptional circumstances or your failure to pay the remaining balance, we will not cancel your reservation less than 45 days prior to your departure date.
Unexpected and exceptional events result in situations that are out of our control and have repercussions that we could not have prevented even if we had taken all appropriate precautions. We exclusively follow recommendations from the Commonwealth Office, the United States Foreign Office, and the United Kingdom.
If we give you a refund, we’ll reimburse you $250 per person, unless the cancellation was caused by unforeseen or unusual circumstances (see above definition). If you have the right to make new claims, that does not preclude you from doing so.
- IF WE CHANGE YOUR BOOKING
(a) Changes to the price
We can change the price of your trip after you’ve booked, only in certain circumstances:
The cost of your travel plans may change after you have made your reservation due to fluctuations in the cost of passenger transportation brought on by variations in the price of gasoline and the amount of taxes or fees levied by third parties, such as tourist taxes. But within 45 days of your departure, nothing will change.
Let’s say this leads to an increase in the cost of your travel plans that is greater than 8%. In that situation, you can accept or, if we are able to provide another travel, switch to it. If the option is less expensive, we will reimburse the difference in price. Additionally, you have the option to cancel and get a complete refund of all money spent, excluding any fees associated with amendments. Should you decide to cancel, you must do so within one week of being told of the change.
We will cover any necessary refunds if the above-mentioned cost changes result in your trip’s price decreasing. Our incurred administrative costs will be subtracted from this reimbursement.
Please be aware that due to contractual and other protections, we do not always buy travel arrangements in local currency, and that some apparent changes have no bearing on the cost of your trip.
(b) Changes other than the price
We have the right to alter any part of your reservation under the terms of your reservation. We will make sure you are informed of any changes, even if they are minor. A few examples of small adjustments include modifying your domestic flights by less than 12 hours, switching to a different type of safari vehicle, switching to accommodations of the same or higher caliber, and rearranging the times of some activities.
- OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
Any failure or inappropriate performance of the travel services included in your safari package must be reported to us as soon as possible. Assume that the enjoyment of your travel arrangements has been impacted by any travel services that are part of your package that are not fulfilled in accordance with the contract or are done incorrectly by us or the travel service providers. If so, you might be eligible for a suitable price cut, reimbursement, or both. If a third party unrelated to the supply of the travel services in the package is unforeseeable or unavoidable, or if you or another member of your party are to blame for any failure to perform or faulty performance of the travel services, we will not be held accountable. or unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, which means a situation beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if we’ve taken all reasonable measures.
Except in situations involving illness, injury, or death, our liability will not exceed three times the cost of your travel. Additionally, our responsibility will be restricted in line with and/or comparable to the conditions of the contracts with the travel agencies who offer the services that comprise your package. Your reservation includes these terms.
NB this entire clause 8 does not apply to any contracts you may enter for excursions or activities whilst on your trip.
- COMPLAINTS
You must notify your trip manager or the supplier if you have a grievance over any of the services that are part of your vacation. This might be your driver guide or trip manager using the phone numbers we will give you before to your departure or it could be the management of the camp or hotel where you are staying.
Please follow up by sending an email to info@africarevealsafaris.com after 28 days of your return home if the issue is not handled locally. Provide your booking reference and any other pertinent details in an email that is as brief and direct as you can.
We won’t have time to look into and address your complaint while you’re traveling if you don’t report it while you’re there; affecting our ability to improve the situation for you and the possibility of claiming back any form of compensation.
- ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE
In particular, we will provide information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance, medical assistance, and assistance in finding alternative arrangements and making any necessary phone calls or emails if you ask us for help when you’re experiencing health issues while in East Africa. Any expenses we incur must be covered by you or reimbursed by your travel insurance provider.
- MEDICAL CONDITIONS, DISABILITIES AND OTHER SPECIAL REQUESTS
Customers with special needs are welcome, however in order for us to advise on the suitability of your plans, you must contact us with particular information prior to making a reservation. Unfortunately, not all locations might be appropriate. If we are unable to satisfy your needs, we must retain the right to reject a reservation. We must retain the right to cancel the reservation as soon as we learn of the situation if you do not notify us beforehand.
We are pleased to forward any specific requests you may have, such as meal demands or dietary intolerances, to the appropriate vendors; however, these are requests and not guarantees
- EXCURSIONS
Your vacation does not include any excursions or other tours that you may decide to schedule or pay for while in Africa. Your contract with the excursion or tour operator, not with us, will apply to any excursion or tour you reserve. The excursion or tour’s operator is in charge of providing it, and we have no liability for anything that occurs during that time.
- DOCUMENTATION
Please review all of the documentation you get, and if you find any inaccuracies, let us know right once. If you don’t, you might have to pay more if you need to make adjustments later.
- YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Before making a reservation, you should first check the most recent travel advise for your safari vacation spot and make sure you are still following it.
You are in charge of your particular passport, visa, and other immigration needs. Consult the appropriate embassies or consulates to confirm these. If you are unable to travel due to noncompliance with any passport, visa, or immigration regulations, we do not assume any liability.
Additionally, you need to make sure that your immunization records are up to date and that you have followed your doctor’s vaccination recommendations.
Specifically, we consult our pre-departure information sheet. We will give you general guidance, but we won’t be held accountable if you don’t follow the rules before you leave.
Any general advice offered prior to the start of the holiday is not covered by our liability policy. You are in charge of showing there to take advantage of all pre-arranged aspects of your vacation and checking in on time for all flights.
If you lose any travel documents or don’t use any part of your vacation, you won’t receive any credit or reimbursement.
We also want to let you know that all of the African safari vacations we provide carry some inherent dangers, particularly with regard to wildlife, flora, the environment, and illness. Accepting these is at your own risk. We would be pleased to offer advice over the phone or in writing if you would want to discuss any such risks with us.
- INSURANCE
All of our clients are required to acquire sufficient travel insurance as part of our terms and conditions. If you do not take out such an insurance, we retain the right to terminate your vacation at any moment.

- EBOLA VIRUS & COVID-19 PANDEMIC ADDENDUM TO OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Travel advisories for the places you visit may be available from your government’s state department (foreign office) for international travel. You must carefully review the recommendations if you choose to travel in spite of these.
- You need to be insured against any problems related to COVID-19, Ebola, or virus outbreaks. In particular, for any kind of claim, loss, liability, cost, or expense that results directly or indirectly from, causes, or is a result of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-cov-2), coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), or any mutation or variation of any of these. Additionally, this exclusion covers any claim, loss, damage, or cost of any kind that results directly or indirectly from, contributes to, or is caused by:
(1A). Any fear or threat (whether actual or perceived) of; or
(1B). Any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or relating to any outbreak of; Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus.

- Africa Reveal Safaris covers non-COVID/EVD-related issues under its regular liability policy for all customers. If something goes wrong over the holiday, we’ll do everything we can to help. But we won’t be held accountable for anything else. Because to COVID-19 and your choice to travel during the epidemic, we won’t have to pay extra. This covers any situation brought on by EVD or COVID-19, such as safari cancellation, quarantine upon arrival, hospital or medical expenses, or repatriation.
- As you are aware, flight schedules are subject to alter due to the COVID-19 epidemic. That could abruptly alter the travel schedule, requiring an earlier or later departure for home.
The quality of the hospitals you might be sent to or the care you might receive if you get EVD or COVID-19 while on vacation is not guaranteed by Yellow Africa Reveal Safaris. Normally, we can help with these things, but because of a probable national strategy to treat the virus, you may be sent to a public hospital that is not under Africa Reveal Safaris’ jurisdiction.
- You are aware that waves of COVID and Ebola can strike Africa at any time, affecting hospital capacity and making it difficult to treat any disease or disaster. As previously stated, Africa Reveal Safaris will make every effort to help guarantee that our clients receive the best medical care available if necessary. Ultimately, the pandemic can make it difficult to access medical care if a wave puts pressure on the national system of the country you are visiting.
- You must adhere closely to the national guidelines for COVID-19 and EVD while traveling. using the same safety measures, you would use at home. This could involve donning a mask in public and on public transportation.
Always keeping hand sanitizer on hand and applying it frequently.
Regular hand washing.
Steer clear of crowds.
Whenever feasible, maintain a social distance of at least two meters.
- You are aware that government-led strategies for COVID-19 and Ebola safety vary greatly among African nations. Because of this, locals frequently don’t wear masks, avoid social situations, or take part in preventive calls. Africa Reveal Safaris collaborates with reputable vendors that are typically more circumspect. But these lodges are simply required to adhere to their national regulations, which can be less stringent than what you are used to.
- You understand that in order to enter each nation on your route and occasionally to depart, you may need to undergo a PCR test. The cost of the testing typically ranges from $100 to $350 per person, depending on the lab and how far away the test is.
- We may set up the required PCR tests for you, but we are not further liable for this. For instance, you will be responsible for any expenses incurred if the test results are delayed and you miss a flight or connection. You are aware that certain testing locations will fall short of the typical level of care you might anticipate from a healthcare facility in your nation of origin.
- You recognize the possibility of compulsory quarantine on your (and your group’s) return.
