INCREDIBLE MUST-HAVE RWANDA AND UGANDA SAFARI
The Amazing Five-Day Itinerary Guide to Uganda and Rwanda Tours offers Gorillas, Chimpanzees, and Wildlife. These combined tours of Rwanda and Uganda are intended for those who wish to see both countries. Chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda’s Nyungwe forest is not very reliable because the primates like to go far into the forest during specific months of the year. In addition to the possibility that you won’t see any chimpanzees at all, trackers could have to search for them all day.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY: UGANDA AND RWANDA TOUR
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda
To start the 6-hour drive to Kibale National Park, Africa Reveal Safaris’ guide or driver will pick you up from your lodging at 8:00 a.m. or earlier. You will take a Kigali City Tour prior to the excursion, which includes stops at the city’s genocide memorial centre, the main marketplace, the museum of the former presidential palace, and gift shops run by local artisans. You will start your travel to Uganda after the Kigali City Tour. To guarantee a seamless visa application, get your passport and yellow fever vaccination card ready. Kibale National Park is a long drive, but the payoff is beautiful landscape and spectacular vistas.
From Rwanda’s stunning highlands and volcanoes to Uganda’s dense forests, nature lovers may expect a true feast. You should arrive late in the afternoon, and lunch will be provided along the way. Before the chimp tracking the following day, check in, take a shower and unwind when you get to your accommodation.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park, and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Chimp Tracking in the Kibale National Park – Uganda
You will receive a briefing on chimp trekking at the Kibale National Park offices following breakfast. You will receive information from the Rangers about the park, its residents, the chimp clans, what to bring, how to interact with chimps, and what to anticipate. It typically takes three to five hours to track chimps in Kibale National Park. They are easy to identify due to their noisy character. Additionally, compared to gorillas, their social groups are more theatrical. You may anticipate an exciting hour spent with them. After taking as many photos as you like, head back to the resort for lunch. Later in the afternoon, the driver will start the two-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at the Kazinga Channel
To eat breakfast, you will need to rise extremely early. Another option is to pack coffee for your early-morning game drive. The purpose of the early morning wildlife drive is to provide guests the chance to witness nocturnal creatures returning to their burrows following a night of hunting. Catching early risers before they go hunting is another goal. Look for hippos and leopards that have returned from nighttime grazing outside the water. After protecting themselves from predators, birds and herbivores are most likely to return to grazing in the morning. You can also spot buffaloes, lions, hartebeests, and various antelopes during the game drive. You will then go back to the lodge to recuperate and have lunch.
You will be taken to the Kazinga Channel for a boat ride at 2:00 p.m. Boat cruises are among the most well-liked activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Most of the animals and birds gather in the Kazinga Channel for a drink or a wash. One of Africa’s top birdwatching spots is the Kazinga waterway, which links Lake Edward and Lake Gorge. Because so many primates and other creatures may be seen along the channel, it is also one of the best spots in Africa to see wildlife. Elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, antelopes, and a few predators are all likely to be seen.

Day 4: Game Drive at Ishasha Sector and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
Uganda | Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishasha Sector
You should see the well-known tree-climbing lions at Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasa region to round out the thrilling activities of day four. Only Ishasha, South Africa’s Kruger National Park, and Tanzania’s Lake Manyara are home to tree-climbing lions. You will return to Rwanda and go to the Volcanoes National Park the following day for gorilla trekking after witnessing the Ugandan tree-climbing lions. On the route to Rwanda, lunch will be bought at a suitable restaurant. In order to be prepared for gorilla trekking the next day, make sure you get some sleep when you get to the lodge.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes, Rwanda – Departure
Before going to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing, you will rise early to enjoy breakfast. The briefing includes a wide range of subjects, such as the history of the park, gorilla tribes, how to act around the gorillas, and what to expect. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda involves being placed in one of ten habituated gorilla families. Depending on your age, physical level, and personal preferences, park personnel will select one for you. Longer search hours are required for certain Rwandan gorilla families since they live and travel deep within the bush. If you have extra gear and bags, hire a porter before you go into the jungle.
You will spend an hour with the primates. Take your time looking and taking pictures. Even if a gorilla approaches you, stay composed and do as the Rangers say. Observe the gorilla hiking regulations. Return to the starting site after your hour-long visit with the gorilla family, where our office guide will meet you and take you back to the resort for lunch. You will start your journey back to Kigali later that afternoon. The driver will transport you to your accommodation or the airport if you are still in Kigali.
