Detailed Tour Plan of 1 Day Jinja Tour
Have breakfast at your Kampala hotel and then travel east on the Kampala-Jinja route to Jinja. Your journey will include a stop at Ssezibwa Falls in Mukono, some 45 kilometers from Kampala. Take in the stunning views of the falls while learning about their cultural significance. After that, head to Mabira Woodland for a little nature walk where you can see some wonderful forest birds as well as a few monkeys.
Proceed to Jinja, where the Nile originates, from Mabira Forest. After lunch, your journey to Jinja will begin with a boat excursion to a place where the Nile and Lake Victoria are claimed to meet, followed by a white water rafting experience on one of the Nile’s rapids. Then you’ll be taken back to Kampala through Kagulu Hill, the Busonga King’s palace, and, if time permits, the Rippon Falls.
You can also extend your stay to include kayaking, horseback riding, a sunset cruise on the Nile, bungee jumping to kiss the Nile water, a visit to the Speke Monument, mangabey tracking, and birding, biking, zip-lining in Mabira Forest, and many more fascinating activities.
